alcohol and heaven.

"Three bottles of beer and a little red wine, and she felt tipsy already. It helped the momentum of her body on the dance floor, and she realized that for once, she felt ecstatic. It was five minutes to midnight, but clearly the dance floor was still packed with people. The music blasted through her ears, and as she closed her eyes to follow the beat, for the first time, she didn’t think about him. Her mind fought tediously to associate itself with the music that came banging at her eardrums. But she soon found herself yielding to another bottle of Heineken because of its sheer stubbornness. Now her body began to move with the heart-pounding bass and the haste rhythm of the song, and for all she knew a guy had placed his hands around her waist - and drowsily, her arms succumbed to wrap themselves around his sweaty but glimmering neck; their bodies were touching as they moved in a parallel, but slow motion with the music. Suddenly, the little, unconscious voice, who had forever lived under an introverted light, began to emerge - it searched, it hunted, it yelled rebelliously for that one sensation..the acme of all sensations.. the ecstasy. Minutes to midnight, her face finally lit up a candid smile - and in the last minute of ephemeral pleasure, she unearthed her place in heaven as the effects of alcohol began to hit her like a surging wave."
